BIONOTE: Jerome Visperas Cleofas, PhD, RN
Dr. Jerome Visperas Cleofas is a registered nurse and health sociologist. He is a Professor and Research Fellow at the Department of Sociology and Behavioral Sciences, De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines. Jerome is currently the Chair of the Capacity Building Committee of the Metro Manila Health Research and Development Consortium and the Section Chair for Sociology, Social Work, and Demography of the Social Sciences Division of the National Research Council of the Philippines (2024-2026). He has been a part of a number of internationally and locally funded projects in the areas of disaster health, tobacco marketing, tuberculosis program evaluation, vaccination promotion, film going behaviors, health mis/disinformation, and decoloniality in health.
